Christine Litwin-Sanguinetti, M.D., FACOG
Dr. Litwin was born and raised in Michigan. She generally goes by her maiden name because Litwin-Sanguinetti is too long for normal use. She attended the University of Michigan, graduating with a BS in Zoology and an MS in Human Genetics. She received her Medical Degree from Wayne State University in Detroit in 1977. She completed her internship at Tufts University in Boston and a residency in OB/GYN at Wayne State. She came to California in 1982 and started Womens Physicians OB/GYN Medical Group with Dr. Sutherland in 1983. She was Board Certified by the American College of OB/GYN in 1985. She is also a fellow of the American College of OB/GYN. Dr. Litwin is married and has a daughter who is a professional jockey. She has also been a foster parent for three children. Though no longer a foster parent, she remains committed to child welfare and serves on the board of directors of Future Families, and volunteers for Help One Child, both adoption/foster care agencies. She is a fellow of the American College of OB/GYN (FACOG). She was president of the Shufelt Gynecologic Society of Santa Clara Valley (1995-1996) and chairman of the OB/GYN department of El Camino hospital (1991-1992). Her hobbies include playing the piano, quilting, machine embroidery, and exercise. She did the Danskin Women's triathlon in 1999 and the see jane tri triathalon in 2004. |
