We have seen to it that every effort is made to make your visit convenient.  For your busy schedule, we offer:

• Emergency care for urgent problems
• Phone calls returned in a timely manner
• An easy-to-find location in the Women's Hospital (formerly Orchard Pavilion) in El Camino Hospital

We welcome new patients.

For your first visit, please arrive 20 minutes early in order to complete a number of forms.  You are invited to print the registration form and medical history form and fill them out in advance to shorten your pre-appointment time to 10 minutes.  We also encourage you to fill out a family history tool for 3 generations and print a copy to bring to your appointment.  Your first appointment may take up to an hour, so please give yourself the time needed for us to meet you.  If you are taking medications, please bring the names and dosages with you.  

Patients returning for their annual exam can complete the annual history form in advance.   We encourage returning patients to record and print their family history for 3 generations using a family history tool.  

Many of our patients are transferring their healthcare from another provider.  If you have been under the care of another physician, please ask that office to transmit your records to us prior to your first appointment using the Request for Medical Records form.

We respect the value of your time and want to spare you long waits.  Gynecology does involve emergency procedures, surgical delays, miscarriages, and other unavoidable delays; consequently, we ask for your understanding.  If we are running behind schedule, our staff will attempt to notify you, so please make sure we have the phone number where we can reach you on the day of your appointment. You may also call prior to your visit to see whether we anticipate any delays.

We also request that you arrive promptly for your visit.  If you are unable to keep your appointment or are going to be late, please call the office as soon as possible (650.988.7550). We offer appointments Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

If you need to cancel an appointment, please give us at least 24 hours notice.  Without a cancellation, there is a missed appointment charge.

If you would like our staff to call you during business hours regarding an appointment, you can e-mail us at info@elcaminoobgyn.com and leave your name, telephone number, and the best time to reach you.  We will call back on the next business day.  Do not leave medical information at this e-mail address as it is not a secure protected site.  

Laboratory testing and radiology studies can be done at whatever facility you prefer.  Just let us know so we can order appropriately.  Laboratory charges are separate. We no longer have a draw station in our office.
