Follow the instructions on the recorded message. We are committed to responding promptly to your calls and try to return them within a few minutes. At times, the doctor may be involved in a surgery or other emergency when you call and may not be able to safely stop what she is doing. In those cases, it may take up to 20 minutes to respond.
If you anticipate needing a prescription called to a pharmacy, please know the phone number of a pharmacy that is open at the time of your call.
If you need to change an appointment or speak with our bookkeeping department, please call during office hours because the doctor on call will not have access to the office schedule or bookkeeping records. You may leave a message on the answering machine after hours.
Who will answer your call...
The majority of after hours calls will be answered by Dr. Sutherland. If she is out of town or unavailable, she will select a qualified and compatible physician who can meet your needs.
If you need a refill for routine prescriptions, please call during regular office hours. Because the doctors do not have access to your medical records after office hours, we cannot renew your prescription by phone.
